One day I turned the radio on and heard the words “you need to help people”, followed by a silence, as if for emphasis. The reception dropped out momentarily, long enough for the message to resonate clearly. Whatever the reason for this message, I got it!
Following the process that is outlined in the Eight Essential Elements to Employment, I applied for the first suitable role I saw advertised. It became apparent during the conversations with the employer that this was not the environment I was seeking. The interview then became part of my research for the next role. It gave me ideas on how to select and apply for the right job and so I adjusted my search target and re-joined the market.
The second job I applied for (after a 7 year break and in a new field) was mine!
